IOWA CITY – Iowa ran way past the Toledo Rockets Wednesday night, building a 40-point lead en route to a 94-57 victory inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The Hawkeyes are 3-0 to start Jan Jensen’s tenure, making her the second coach in program history to that, joining Angie Lee who started 7-0 in 1995-96.

Hannah Stuelke registered her 39th career game in double figures which is fifth-most in program history since 2020. Stuelke was one rebound shy of a double-double and was 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Stuelke led the team in scoring 17 points (4-6 FG), nine rebounds, and two assists.

Lucy Olsen scored 14 points going 6-of-9 from the floor.

Addi O’Grady recorded 10 points (3-5 FG) and went 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. O’Grady is shooting a team-best 17-for-20 from the floor this season. O’Grady leads the country at 85 percent from the floor with a minimum of 15 shots taken this season.

Sydney Affolter made her first start of the 2024-25 season. Affolter netted 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

Iowa’s defense held Toledo to 21 points in the first which is a season-best.

Taylor McCabe registered four 3-pointers which was a team-high. It was McCabe’s fifth career game with four or more 3-pointers.

Olsen, McCabe, and Stuelke accounted for 33 or Iowa’s 49 points in the first half.

Iowa had five players register double figures.

Iowa had 18 assists on 31 field goals.

The Hawkeyes are 73-24 when recording 20+ assists in a game since 2020-21.

Since 2020, the Hawkeyes lead the country in games with 80+ points scored offensively. (108)

Since 2020, Iowa is 94-14 when recording 80+ points.

Iowa improved to 1-0 all-time against Toledo.

The Hawkeyes shot 28-of-32 from the free throw line as a team.

The Hawkeyes have won 112 games since 2020-21 which ties for fourth-best nationally. (112-30)

UI is 10-1 all-time against current MAC programs, including five straight wins against the conference.

The Hawkeyes outscored the Rockets in the paint, 52-20.

Including the exhibition contest, Iowa has faced three teams with a new head coach so far this season. (Missouri Western, Virginia Tech, and Toledo)

The Hawkeyes ended the first quarter on a 23-2 run after falling behind in the first three minutes of action.

Iowa set a season-high with 49 points in the first half.
