FAYETTE – A Northern Iowa man with numerous convictions for domestic abuse, no contact order violations and other violent crimes recently beat a stalking charge.
On October 16, 2024, at approximately 6:22 PM, a Fayette county deputy witnessed 45-year-old Jeffery John Becker of Fayette, Iowa, violating a criminal no-contact order. The deputy arrested Becker and charged him with felony stalking – Violation of a No contact order. The sheriff’s office said “this is the third time Becker has been charged for violating a no-contact order in the previous two months.”
Becker (pictured at top) was transported to the Fayette County Jail and he appeared in court later. However, on November 5, a judge dismissed this stalking charge.
However, Becker is awaiting December 4 jury trial in a case from back in June of this year on charges of:
– WILLFUL INJURY – CAUSING BODILY INJURY – CLASS D FELONY
– DOMESTIC ABUSE ASSAULT – 3RD OR SUBSEQ OFFENSE – CLASS D FELONY
– CONTEMPT – VIOLATION OF NO CONTACT/PROTECTIVE ORDER
Becker is also facing a probation revocation hearing November 18.
hello father.
Interesting. I wonder why they dropped the charges.
The cop’s ego wouldn’t let him just walk away from the “non-crime” of standing on a public sidewalk, so he arrested him on a false (in Minecraft) charge.
Cops should all be required to have at least a two year degree instead of the “high school (or equivalent) graduate” that they ask for now. When an assistant librarian needs a better education than a cop, we are in a police state.
