BAXTER, IOWA – An Iowa child, age 2, was tragically killed while riding a tricycle by a driver who was backing up a pickup in a driveway.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the incident took place Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at about 9:10 AM at 3367 Fairman Avenue, north of Baxter, Iowa. Macie Rosander, age 2, was riding a tricycle in a driveway when 59-year-old Ronald Hester backed up a pickup truck. Hester did not see the child and backed over her. Macie died at the scene.
No charges have been filed.
