MINNEAPOLIS – If you are traveling to Minnesota’s largest city, Minneapolis, you might want to be aware that carjackings and violent crime there have skyrocketed and police are ramping up efforts to protect people.
Minneapolis police today said that over the course of 72 hours this past week, the sound of a helicopter over Minneapolis could be heard.
“We recognize the noise may have been unsettling,” police said. “The helicopter was part of a coordinated, targeted, and multi-jurisdictional operation with the City, Hennepin County, and State to crackdown on carjackings, which increased 301% last year, and other violent crimes.”
The State Patrol provided the aerial support, police said.
There were at least 81 murders in Minneapolis in 2020, up from 47 the year before.
Idiot city council in this metropolitan hell hole have been pushing to defund the police since George Floyd. And this is what you get. Rampant crime, police officers leaving in droves, citizens and businesses moving out, soon there won’t be enough of a tax base to even operate a city. It will then become like the movie Escape From New York.

Its not only car jackings, but cars are being stolen using un-marked tow trucks, and auto parts such as catalytic converters are really the hot commodity up there right now.

There are parts of Minneapolis I have stayed away from for 40 years. It would be helpful if the police told us what areas need helicopter patrols.
Somalians crime wave. The most vile and rottenest people on the planet. Have been for thousands of years. Even the desert people have a distain for them. Nothing to due to their skin color. It’s their legacy. Carried over from the past. They’re no good.
Good! I am suprised that their Banna Republic city clown show/council is letting them patrol this way. Maybe instead they could use a few more “social workers “to keep the streets safe. Meanwhile in Chicago. Neighbors are banding together on the weekends to pay out of their own pockets for private security to hang out at convenience stores so people can just buy gasoline without getting car jacked!
Maybe if the police who are on duty would do there job rather than whining they wouldn’t have this problem/.
