“With Representative Sharon Steckman’s leadership, I know she will be a strong advocate for Iowa’s natural resources to improve the quality of life in Iowa,” said Minority Leader Todd Prichard.
As the lead member of the Iowa House Agriculture and Natural Resources Budget Committee, Steckman will be communicating with the Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship and Department of Natural Resources and charged with allocation oversight.
Steckman was also appointed to serve on the new Information Technology committee. The committee will be charged with increasing Iowans’ access to broadband and enhancing technology across state government. ” As a North Iowa rural legislator I am anxious to bring that prospective to the table.” said Steckman, who will also be serving on the Appropriations, Education, and Public Safety committees.
Steckman will be starting her seventh term in the Iowa House of Representatives, which begins on January 11th.

God help us. All Steckman knows how to do is raise taxes and demand more money for her buddies in the teacher’s union.
