HAMILTON COUNTY, IOWA – A Nebraska man died this week while eluding police in Hamilton county, Iowa.
The accident took place May 2, 2019 at about 11:29 PM, near Vail Avenue and 220th Street in Hamilton county. According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, 41-year-old Dustin Daniel Meyering of Lincoln, Nebraska was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang when he failed to negotiate a curve at this location, which is right off of Interstate 35. The vehicle then rolled, and Meyering was killed.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Hamilton county sheriff’s office, Williams Fire and Rescue and Van Diest EMS.
