Women’s college basketball: Cyclones add highly-touted transfer, Lindsey Jarosinski

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head coach Bill Fennelly announced today the addition of Lindsey Jarosinski, a freshman transfer from Wake Forest.

“We could not be more excited to add Lindsey to the Iowa State family,” Fennelly said. “Lindsey was rated as a top-50 player out of high school and was pursued by many schools when she decided to transfer. She fits the Iowa State Way and what we need on our team both on and off the court. Lindsey adds much needed depth to our inside game. This redshirt year will be great for her in every way. I know our fans are going to enjoy watching her for three years in a Cyclone uniform.”

Jarosinski is a 6-5 forward from Medinah, Ill., who will compete for the Cyclones in the 2020-21 season after sitting the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

“The first time I stepped foot on campus I knew that it was a perfect fit for me,” Jarosinski said. “The atmosphere and team chemistry felt like home. Iowa State is exactly what I was looking for. I can’t wait to be a Cyclone for the next four years.”

Jarosinski was ranked 44th nationally by Blue Star Basketball coming out of high school. She was a four-year starter for Montini Catholic High school where she helped lead the Broncos to state tournament appearances in each of her first three seasons. She was named to the All-Conference All-Academic team in each of her first three seasons. She also competed in 27 games this season for Wake Forest.

Jarosinski will wear No. 50 for the Cyclones.
