MASON CITY – A Mason City man was caught drunk driving this weekend in rural Cerro Gordo county.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 9000 block of 265th Street Saturday morning at 1:08 AM. After an investigation, the driver of the stopped vehicle, 27-year-old Clayton Wayne Babcock of Mason City, was arrested on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated. He was taken to the county jail and held briefly before he was released, pending a court date.
