CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman is accused by police of meth possession.
On August 10, 2017, at about 12:28 AM, officers with the Charles City police department went to the 1600 block of North Grand Avenue for a criminal mischief report. there was no damage done. As a result of the call, Crystal Nelson, age 39 of Charles City, was arrested on a two valid Floyd county warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and first-offense possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and first-offense possession of a controlled substance – marijuana on or about May 17.
Nelson was released from jail and due in court on the morning of August 23.
Charles city sure has its share or maybe even a little more.
