MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed after a drunk driving stop this weekend.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy encountered a potentially speeding vehicle at 1:40 AM Sunday, June 25 at the 800 block of 6th Street SW. The vehicle was stopped and after an investigation, the driver, 24-year-old G Dillon Arnold Meek was arrested on a charge of first-offense operating while intoxicated and warned for speeding.
Meek was taken to the county jail, booked and released when he became sober pending a court date.
