WAVERLY, IOWA – An alleged drunk driver and a man driving a motorcycle were both taken to a hospital after an accident near Waverly early Saturday.
According to the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place at an intersection of Highway 3 and Aspen Avenue at about 12:16 AM Saturday morning, June 25. The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office witnessed a car versus motorcycle accident at that location.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Colton Henning, age 18 of Clarksville. Henning was transported to the Waverly Hospital and then to Iowa City Hospital for the injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the car was identified as Mario Jarvis-Neuhaus, age 32, and the passenger was identified as Hannah Katzenburger, 34, both of Shell Rock. Both Jarvis-Neuhaus and Katzenburger were transported to Waverly Hospital for minor injuries.
Further investigation led to Jarvis-Neuhaus being arrested for operating while intoxicated and cited for driving while license suspended and failure to yield upon a left hand turn.
Katzenburger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
