FORT DODGE – A Chicago man who frequently visits Iowa is in jail after police say he sexually assaulted a child in Fort Dodge.
Fort Dodge police report that on July 30th, 2015, Fort Dodge Police Officers were dispatched to Unity Point Emergency Room in Fort Dodge, Iowa for a report of a sexual abuse.
Upon arrival, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department gained information that the victim of the sexual abuse was a juvenile, whose name is not being released, but was fourteen years of age or below. Detectives with the Fort Dodge Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) were called upon to assist Officers with the case.
On January 5th, 2015, Fort Dodge police detectives arrested a suspect, identified as 21-year-old Shannon “S.K.” Sago and charged him with one count of second-degree sexual abuse, a class B Felony. Sago is from Chicago but frequents the Fort Dodge area, police say.
