MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Jail inmate that was found unresponsive in his cell yesterday has been identified as Dacota Alan Witham, 28, of Mason City, Iowa. Witham was the only occupant of the cell at the time of the incident.
An autopsy was performed today by Dr. Michele Catellier of the Iowa Office State Medical Examiner in Ankeny, Iowa. The cause of death has not been determined at this time. There was no sign of trauma and additional laboratory tests will be done. The results of those tests and complete autopsy results may take several weeks.
Please people don’t make this guy be a saint. Death is sorrowful but lets not forget the victims that were beat, kicked, and tortured. Again Im not a prick who hates every one in jail, I just hate it when we make people out to be nicey nice, remember the victims.
Pretty scary when the boogie man has you at his mercy.
