RICEVILLE – A North Iowa woman originally charged with sexual abuse of a teen boy later pled guilty and received probation and a fine for her crimes.

Mindy Jo Fetters, age 23 of Riceville, was charged on June 6, 2014 with sexual abuse in the third degree, indecent exposure, and assault to commit sexual abuse. The alleged unlawful activity took place on April 12, 2014 against a 15-year-old boy. The Howard County Sheriff’s Department brought the charges. She was arrested by Mitchell county deputies on June 7th and held on $10,000 bond.

Fetters pled not guilty to all charges on July 1, 2014. Her trial was scheduled for last year but has been postponed a number of times. She finally pled guilty to child endangerment causing bodily injury, while charges of indecent exposure and assault were dismissed.

A sentencing hearing was held August 19. Fetters was given a five-year prison sentence, all of which was suspended. She was also given three years of probation. Additionally, she was ordered to pay $1,252.50 in fines and court fees.

I heard she had a crush on the bookie!

WoW-that will sure teach her a lesson. She will never pay the fines and will go on to the next child. She is enough to scare anyone.
