MASON CITY – A Worth county man has accepted a plea deal in a sex abuse case and is serving jail time as a result.
Mark Allan Johnson, age 30 of Manly, was charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse in May of 2014 by Mason City police. His crime was allegedly committed against a female victim. Soon thereafter, as an inmate in the Cerro Gordo county jail, Johnson became combative with jailers, causing an injury to an officer. He was charged in that case with assault.
In his plea deal, Johnson pled guilty to indecent exposure and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 30 days suspended. He must also serve a consecutive 30 days in the assault case.
Nice.. Someone in jail probably didn’t like his reduced sentence either!
