MASON CITY – A Mason City man already facing a felony theft charge was caught attempting to steal from Hy-Vee Sunday morning.
Mason City police told NIT that 20-year-old Anthony James Fickel Schoneman was first arrested in late May for felony 2nd degree theft for allegedly stealing about $1,200 worth of electronics (headphones, tablets) from Shopko around May 20-22. He entered a guilty plea in that case to an unknown charge and awaits sentencing on August 17.
On July 26, at 12:30 AM, Schoneman was arrested at Wal-Mart for 5th degree theft after allegedly stealing two cartons of cigarettes and running away from the store. He has pled not guilty and awaits a trial in September.
This weekend, on Aug 2, 2015 at 9:51 AM, Schoneman was arrested at Hy-Vee West for 5th degree theft after allegedly stealing two cartons of cigarettes and running away from the store.
