FORT DODGE – A Fort Dodge man has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse of a child after police led an investigation.
On Wednesday, April 15th, 2015 Detective with Criminal Investigations Division received a report of sexual abuse of a juvenile victim. The juvenile victim disclosed that in 2013 they were sexually assaulted by a Mr. Zachary McBride, age 27, at 406 Avenue F, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
During the investigation, Detectives were able to narrow down between the dates of July 20th through July 28th, 2013 when the assaults took place. The juvenile victim was 13 years of age and
Mr. Zachary McBride was 25 years of age at the time the assault took place.
On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2015, suspect Mr. Zachary McBride was taken into custody at 1212 South 22nd Street Apartment 3 by Fort Dodge Police Detectives. Mr. McBride was arrested on the following charges:
Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree (C Felony)
Lascivious Acts with a Child (D Felony)
McBride remains held in the Webster County Jail.

I am always a little skeptable when I see charges filed two years or more after the alledged incident. In this case, there is something really wrong with this guy.
