MASON CITY – A Mason city woman was stopped and arrested early Sunday morning for second offense drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a car driven by 41-year-old Nikole Nicholson near 265th Street and Vine Avenue for an improper brake lamp. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy determined that Nicholson was intoxicated. As the deputy attempted to place her under arrest for drunk driving, she was allegedly not 100% cooperative.
Nicholson was charged with second offense operating while intoxicated and interference with official acts. Her vehicle was towed and she was taken to the county jail for processing.
Nicholson was arrested for drunk driving in 2009, and charged with second offense operating while intoxicated. She pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of first offense operating while intoxicated.
