MINNEAPOLIS – Two women arrested for prostitution in Minneapolis were found by police to be forced into their situation by a convicted sex offender, police said today.
This past weekend, 3rd Precinct officers with the Minneapolis Police Department arrested two females for prostitution. After thorough questioning by an officer, the girls admitted that they were forced into prostitution by a male who was now running an escort service.
Officers called in one of their sex crimes investigators who aided in the investigation.
The male suspect then moved the other girls to a new location, and through investigation, the sergeant was able to locate them. The male suspect was found to be a non-compliant sex offender. Additional evidence was located to substantiate the original two female’s story. The male was arrested and jailed for sex trafficking and being a non-compliant sex offender.
