Steven Robert Kingston, born August 26, 1953, passed away on April 11, 2026 at the age 72 at his home in Mason City on 25th Street. He lived in many places from Woodward, Emmetsburg Care Center, Handicap Village and Vision One.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, May 8, 2026 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City. A time for friends to share a memory or story they have about Steven will begin at 6:30pm.
Steven’s body goes on to help the next generation learn with the University of Iowa Donor Program. Memorials may be directed to the family and mailed to 534 9th St. SW, Mason City, IA 50401.
Steven had many friends in many of the places he lived as he grew up. He enjoyed walkie talkies and listening to the police scanner. He also had a business making beaded key chains. He was very good at trivial games and loved Red Sovine and CW McCall music. He was along a good singer. He had found his forever home; a special thanks to all who cared for him.
Steven is survived by his sister, Delores (James) Dodge of Mason City; brothers, James (Susan) Kingston of Mason City and William Kingston of Northwood; 27 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Kingston Kaduce and Joseph Kingston; step-father, Edward Kaduce; and siblings, Georgia Shepard, Wayne Kingston, Wilma Jean Kingston Stromley, Martha Kingston Duty, Kenneth Kingston, Edward Kaduce, and Debra Kaduce
