Chylie Marie (Schutz) Burns, 25, of Park City, Kansas, joined her daughter, Aerilynn Rose Young who passed March 15, 2026; in heaven March 28, 2026, both gone too soon from this world.
A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, Sunday April 26, 2026, with Deacon Regan Banks officiating at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, IA 50401. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Chylie was born January 3, 2001 in Iowa Falls, IA, daughter of Melissa Schutz and Shaun Burns. Aerilynn was born March 12, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas, daughter of Chylie Schutz Burns and Tevin Young.
Chylie graduated from Patuxent High School with the class of 2019. Following graduation, she began pursuing work as a caregiver, working for Phoenix Home Health as one of their home health aids. She enjoyed connecting with her clients as she helped them continue to live their lives in the comfort of their homes. Her home was always lively with the energy of her beloved dog Finn, 3 cats, and partner Tevin Young.
Wherever she went, Chylie left a sparkle behind. Her beautiful smile lit up the room. People were drawn to her much like how her beloved sunflowers are drawn to the sun. She was just as intelligent as she was beautiful. She loved and was just as easy to love.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Melissa; father, Shaun, beloved partner, Tevin; siblings, Alex Vedhuizen, Joseph Ray, Allie Liddle, Caleb Liddle, Louie Arndorfer, Bentley Moore, and Jason Clemons; grandparents, Rosemary Ramon, Dan (Theresa) Schutz, and Bob (Eva) Burns; uncles, Scott (Kaity) Schutz and Garett (Tamera) Schutz; aunt, Shannon Reinhart; godparents, Ken and Pam Pearce, Tiffany Greenan, and Scott Schutz; special aunts; Nicole Arispe, Brenda Ruehlow, Jennifer Dann, Leslie Brose, and Cayla Graupmann; a special cousin Grace Francisco, as well as many friends and extended family.
Preceding her in death are her daughter, Aerilynn; great-grandparents, Rosa (Alejandro “Kelly”) Ramon, Earl (Jean) Schutz, William (Florence) Burns, and Kyle (Virginia) Mennega; aunt, Sharon Burns; uncles, Albert Ramon, Dave Schutz, and John Schutz; and beloved dog, Piggy.
