Violent Plymouth man arrested during domestic dispute

MASON CITY – A Plymouth man who has faced a swath charges this year was arrested during a domestic dispute early Friday.

Cerro Gordo deputies were called to an apartment at 3 Manor Drive in Plymouth Friday morning around 8:30 AM after a domestic altercation was reported. Deputies responded to the non-physical domestic abuse call. The argument was allegedly over a car registered to the female party, and it was returned to her possession. The male subject involved, Wayne Martell Davis, was arrested for driving under suspension and transported to jail. He was soon released, pending a court date.

Martell, earlier in 2014, pleaded guilty to fighting or violent behavior and interference with official acts. Clear Lake police and Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a report of what was described as a “large fight” at District 619, located at 619 Buddy Holly Place in Clear Lake, on July 27. After police arrived and sorted out the situation, it was determined that several subjects were injured and sent to a hospital. Davis was one of two men arrested at the scene. He pleaded guilty the next day he was ordered to pay $503.25 in court costs and fines but so far has failed to make a payment. He is also accused at this time in Winnebago county of possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony drug possession charge. He has entered a not guilty plea in that case.
