Mason City woman faces trial Tuesday on charge of interference with official acts

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman will go on trial Tuesday on a charge of interference with official acts.

Andrea Peterson, age 67 will face a non-jury trial Tuesday on one count of interference with official acts. She was charged after an incident on September 22 in the Wendy’s parking lot as two other people, Brandon Ward and Amber Ward, were arrested. Peterson had an interaction with police officers that led to her being handcuffed, arrested and taken to jail.

Peterson has been found guilty twice before of interference with official acts.
