Mason City man jailed for skipping court; pleads guilty to interference

MASON CITY – A Mason City man jailed numerous times over recent months was back behind bars again this week, this time for skipping court.

Brandon Ward, age 30, was arrested at his house on October 15 on a warrant was issued for his arrest 2 days earlier connected to a driving hill barred charge. He is being held on $2,000 cash-only bond. Ward was spotted by a Mason City police officer driving a car on September 12. Ward is known to have a suspended license and placed Ward under arrest for driving while barred.

Ward pled guilty on September 22 to interference with officials acts after he was arrested that previous day due to an incident in the Wendy’s parking lot. Ward was ordered to pay $397.50 in fines and fees.
