Osage coach said to have “backhanded” student, sources tell NIT

investigateOSAGE – A troubling situation has been reported in Osage between a coach and an athlete.

According to a number of sources, a coach employed by the Osage School District “backhanded” a male athlete. The incident took place late in August. NIT is not releasing the name of the coach pending confirmation from Osage schools, but sources say it is a football coach who stands accused.

According to one source: “Osage Schools will probably try to push this under the rug. Coach name is —— ——. He is not liked very well and other problems in the past parents have petitioned to get rid of him but did not happen. Not sure why the school is keeping him. I certainly hope the boy’s parents carry out with a lawyer to file charges. The boy is a senior and is 18 so now.”

Another source told NIT that “bullying by coaches has been happening at Osage School for many years” and that the incident “is recorded on tape”.

More information to come on this developing story.
