AMES – Commander Geoff Huff of the Ames police department said Thursday via social media that officers were again plenty busy Wednesday night into Thursday morning, following the previous night’s riots.
“The Ames Police Department responded to 51 calls for service between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday night into Thursday morning,” Huff stated.

8 Municipal Infractions – Nuisance Party
1 Citation – Possession of Alcohol Under the Legal Age
1 Arrest – Allowing Excessive Noise from a vehicle
1 Arrest – Public Intox
