MASON CITY – A busy road in Mason City is closed as crews work to repair another water main break.
Mason City officials reported that Winnebago Way from Park Ridge Drive to North Willowgreen Court will be closed due to a water main break. This street will remain closed to traffic and will be reopened as soon as emergency repairs are made. Officials anticipate the street will be closed for approximately 8 hours or until repairs can be made. Motorists are asked to avoid travel in this area during the repair process.
Prolonged bitterly-cold weather over the winter months is still the likely cause for the water main breaks. Residents may want to consider running a faucet with a small water flow to help prevent their water lines from freezing.
