Clear Lake collision cleaned up Friday morning

CLEAR LAKE – A semi-truck and a pickup truck collided Friday morning on the southeast side of Clear Lake, causing a potential gas leak.

The incident occurred around 7:45 AM Friday at 2150 4th Avenue S., in front of United Rentals and just west of Pritchard Auto in Clear Lake.

The pick-up truck was said to be leaking gas, and emergency responders were concerned that the Wiess semi was hauling gas or a flammable liquid.

The Clear Lake Fire and Rescue Department and Clear Lake Police were at the scene. Police were directing traffic due to 4th Street S. being blocked.

Happy Trails from Clear Lake came to tow the pickup. No further information was immediately available.
