MASON CITY – Are you interested in driving a big rig?

North Iowa Area Community College will be offering a comprehensive three-week Professional Driver Prep program that will get you on the road earning money sooner.

A free information session will be held Wednesday, May 15, complete with pizza and pop, at the Muse Norris Conference Center on the NIACC campus, starting at 6:00 p.m.

NIACC’s Professional Driver Prep program provides 160 hours of intense, relevant training both in the classroom and over the road. State-of-the-industry rigs, typical of what you will be using in your career, combined with a student-teacher ratio of 3:1 for the driving portion, will ensure that you get exceptional instruction and driving experience.

Job opportunities are favorable for truck drivers. In addition to growth in demand for truck drivers, numerous job openings are occurring as experienced drivers retire, leave the labor force, or transfer to other fields of work. The largest demand is being created by the retiring baby-boomers.

Tuition reimbursement will be available to those who qualify. Reservations are required: call NIACC at 641-422-4358.
