MASON CITY – Police arrested an allegedly intoxicated North End Mason City man with a history of crimes involving alcohol on new offenses Monday night.
Police responded to a call at 424 2nd Street NW at about 7 PM Monday of a subject yelling profanities across the street. Officers located Delbert Raymond Lane, 35, who was arrested and taken to jail.
Lane was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and criminal trespassing, all simple misdemeanors. Lane remained in the Cerro Gordo County Jail Tuesday until he posted $300.00 bond.
Lane is no stranger to crimes involving alcohol.
In 2010, Lane plead guilty to public intoxication, he still owes Iowa courts $184.69 in that case. In 2012, Lane plead guilty to public intoxication; he still owes Iowa courts $288.75 in that case. In 2012, Lane plead guilty to public intoxication; he still owes Iowa courts $363.00 in that case. In 2012, Lane plead guilty to domestic assault causing injury. He later violated the no-contact order with the victim. Lane faces a contempt hearing on May 23rd in that case. Still owes Iowa courts $593.07 in that case. Lane faces another contempt of court hearing on May 3rd for a 2011 case in which he owes the court $1068.50. Lane was found guilty of public intox and interference with official acts in 2006. He still owes $58.75 and $450.00, respectively, to Iowa courts in those cases.

SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

You can fine these types of people all you want and they do NOT care as they have no intention of paying the fines. They take away their drivers license as a penalty and they drive anyway and usually with no insurance. Lock them up and even then they don’t care. Free food, medical and dental while they are in. Such punishment.
