MASON CITY – Shortly after 7:30pm Mason City police responded to a two car traffic accident in the 2700 block of SE 4th Street near the entrance to Mulligan’s Bar.
The driver of the car that caused the collision failed field sobriety tests administered by an officer on scene.
Police detained 40-year-old Christine Marie Rosendahl and transported her to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office where she submitted to a breath alcohol content test. According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Criminal Investigations Unit, Rosendahl failed the BAC test after she blew a .250 on two occasions. In Iowa the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle is .080.
Rosendahl was booked into a holding cell and released shortly after when she posed bond and promised to appear to further court proceedings.
Rosendahl has been charged with one serious misdemeanor count of 1st Offense OWI.
While waiting for officers to arrive at the accident Rosendahl updated her status on her Facebbok page blaming the sober driver she rear ended for the accident. The post reads, “Look for me in the next episode of iowa mug shots…..some a******e slammed on her breaks, I hit her, I went to jail. Be careful!!!
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Someone needs to stop this nasty drunk 2 cent whore before she kills some inicent child. Those of you who know her need to call the police every time this drunk gets behind the wheel of a car. She is going to kill someone she is a drunken whore!

WOW! Does this woman not get it? I seen her one night and clearly intoxicated when she came to bar with some other women who wew drunk as well who bowled!! Scarey these people get away with driving drunk; sad they have nothing better in life to do! Do us a favor and sober up before someone else gets hurt!
Agree! She NEEDS to sober up! Now she will have her “friends” taking her everywhere to drink since she can’t drive. Wonder if it would even be possible for her to be sober for a few days. A mugshot is a nice pic to add to the family collection tho!
She has posted on FB she is going to Fort Dodge this weekend; people are to meet her at noon at a bar – we know its not to drink pop…. she calls these people friends… I say enabelers!
What her “friends” don’t know is she talks about them behind their back. Her “friends” probably keep her around because she pays for everything. Good for her. Life hasn’t changed a bit, except she might not know what’s around the corner for her drunk actions last weekend. It will be fun to watch.

Bars carry dram shop insurance. If someone is killed in an accident caused by a drunk driver the bar and bartender can be sued.
I believe it is assinine to keep serving someone who is definetly intoxicated. Many bars do it because they want the money.

I am shaking my head in utter amazement that @ 3x’s the legal limit all she could think of was updating her Facebook page. This is my opnion is a true professional drunk. It’s all about her!
It’s ALWAYS been all about her. Even worse when she’s drinking! Looks like she’s still going to the bars. How could you even show your face in public again? She needs to apologize to the lady she hit. She clearly caused the accident.

I know people who have had something like this happen and are going day by day to stay sober because they know they have a problem with alcohol. According to her FB, she doesn’t have any plans to stop drinking, she’s just not going to be able to drive, so drink, drink, drink at home, etc. Someone needs a reality check and you would have thought she had that Sat. night. She deserves everything she has coming to her!

When I bartend, I WILL take keys away or I’ll find a customer a ride. I also think part of the responsibility belongs to a drinker’s friends. My motto has always been, “Go ahead & be pissed at me for a couple weeks about this. U know where to find me when u’r ready to thank me for keeping u & others safe & keeping u outta jail.” There have also been times that I’ve insisted that someone switch to water and eat something, only to have them disappear. Ultimately, she is responsible for herself.
You get them get them blitzed then try to babysit them and expect them to act sober? lol good luck. Why don’t you just cut them off???..You do have that right.

I personally think its lame to blame the bar for her stupidity! If she is a regular drinker It’s hard to tell how drunk someone is. Sue her she is the irresponsible asshole..!!
I guess that is why Tailgaters is losing their liqour license for the month of December, they keep serving minors.

When was the last time you heard someone step up and admit they were wrong? Nobody accepts responsibility anymore. That is the way they are taught. Thank poor parents, press, etc.
This gal has burned many a bridge due to her intoxicated state of mind and know-it-all demeanor. Her level of education, blah, blah, blah. What an award to add to her wall! Hopefully no one will ever serve her again.
Posting on facebook after you’ve been arrested for driving drunk? Seriously?? Get a life maybe?? Is there any requirement for bartenders to cut off drinkers after they’ve had way too much? She sounds like she’d be easy to spot for that!
Yes it is actually a crime in Iowa to serve alcohol to a visable intoxicated person. The person who she rearended could sue the bar according to her wall ‘Tailgaters’ for serving her after she was past the legal limit.
It would be pretty ironic if a phone texter hit a drunk and exposed them as driving drunk. Texting and driving is just as bad.
