MASON CITY – Iowa Crafts: 40 Best in Show Award Winner will be featured in an exhibition and reception at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum.
Jan Friedman, of Iowa City, was awarded Best in Show at the opening reception of Iowa Crafts: 40 on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Friedman won for her framed fiber collage, Water’s Edge: Surfacing. As prize for her win, Friedman was awarded a solo exhibition in the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum’s Center Space Gallery. Her exhibition opens Friday, July 27, at 9 a.m. and will run through Saturday, September 8.
Please join the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum in welcoming Jan Friedman during an opening reception on Saturday, August 4 beginning at 2 p.m. The artist will be on hand to talk about her innovative woven designs and techniques.
