MASON CITY – Felony theft. Third degree burglary. A deferred judgement. Then, a probation violation and months on the lam. North Iowa’s revolving door of justice keeps turning.
A Mason City man wanted since March was located Monday by Cerro Gordo county deputies and taken to jail. Trey Michael Stack, age 19, had been wanted since March for violating probation in connection with deferred judgements he was given by Judge Annette Boehlje last October for third degree theft and felony third degree burglary. He is being held on $7,000 cash-only bond.
Stack had also been assessed $494.02 and $494.02 in court costs and fees in those two cases, but never made a payment on either balance.
