Trip to Owls Festival being offered

The Cerro Gordo and Winnebago County Conservation Boards and Lime Creek Nature Center are sponsoring a motor coach trip to the International Festival of Owls in Houston, Minnesota on Saturday, March 3.

The festival features internationally-known speakers, live owls, and a variety of owl programs and activities for children and adults.  For more information on the festival visit their website at:

The trip will depart from the Lime Creek Nature Center parking lot at 7 a.m. and will make another pick up at the Winnebago County Courthouse in Forest City at 7:40 a.m.; attend the festival from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and return at approximately 7:30 p.m. in Forest City and 8:10 p.m. at the Lime Creek Nature Center.

Cost for the trip is $30 for adults (18 and over) and $15 for youth (17 and under), which covers transportation and entrance fee to the festival.  Lunch and dinner is not included in the fee.  To register for this trip, or for more information, please call the Lime Creek Nature Center at 641-423-5309.  Registration is required by Friday, February 17.
