DES MOINES – Iowa Democrats in the legislature are preparing for Medicaid privatization with new legislation to oversee the transition and implementation of the program.
In the event that Iowa Medicaid privatization is not stopped by the federal government or by the Iowa Legislature, Democrats said Monday, the Iowa Senate is preparing legislation providing comprehensive oversight and increased protections for Iowa Medicaid patients and providers.
On Wednesday, February 24, at 1 PM, a subcommittee of the Iowa Senate Human Resources Committee will hear public comment and discuss Senate File 2213 in Room 116 of the Iowa Statehouse.
