MASON CITY – The Mason City Police Department held its 4th Annual “Runnin with the Law” Triathlon on Saturday, June 16 at the Family Aquatic Center on Birch Drive.
The triathlon included a 250 Meter Swim, 10 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run. Individuals and teams competed in the race.

The event is an annual fund raiser for the Mason City Police Department Unit 18. The funds generated from the event help sponsor Unit 18 community events including College Scholarships, Cops for Kids at Christmas, Youth Sports teams and the Special Olympics.
All registered participants received a T-shirt, bag and entry in a drawing for special prizes after the race.
Medals were awarded for 1st to 3rd place finishers for both male and females in all age groups.
There were were over a dozen teams that participated in the event.
