General Notes:
Colored concrete for the Plaza and sidewalk decorative brick paver mockups have been prepared and reviewed. The colored concrete samples for the Plaza have been approved; however, some quality control concerns have developed with the mockup of the decorative brick pavers. A second mockup of the decorative brick pavers on the west side of Federal from State to 1st Street will be reinstalled and reassessed.

All sanitary sewer lateral lining has been completed for the project. The final water service line tie-over is expected to be completed by the end of this week. 1st Street, 2nd Street and 4th Street intersections are open. State Street and 3rd Street intersections remain closed.

Again, all work start dates are ‘weather permitting’.

Week of May 9:

McKiness
Grading work will continue in the Plaza in preparation for the first pour of colored concrete. Prep work for additional sidewalk paving in the south half of the Plaza will begin. This may limit access to the front door of Plaza businesses. Holes will be dug between 2nd Street and 4th Street in preparation for the installation of light pole bases.

Wicks
Brick work will begin around the concrete center core of the masonry piers between State and 2nd Street. These piers include decorative ceramic tile and a light feature to be installed later. Pouring of the first segment of colored concrete in the Plaza should begin. There is also a possibility that additional sidewalk paving may occur in the south half of the Plaza.

Country Landscape
Depending on the outcome of the reevaluation of the decorative brick paver mockup, installation of the pavers is planned between State and 1st Street. The pavers will be placed in the recessed center channel of the concrete sidewalks that have been poured.

Portions of the light poles may be assembled on the bases that are already in place in the Plaza. This work involves the use of heavy equipment and is being carefully coordinated with the ongoing Plaza work as to not damage any newly placed material. These light poles may be in place but will not be functional until additional electric work is completed.|
