CHARLES CITY — A Minnesota man was stopped by police in Charles City after they say he was driving without headlights on a recent morning, and he apparently didn’t go quietly when told he was under arrest.
According to the Charles City Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:59 a.m. on May 2, 2026, on Brantingham Bridge.
As a result of the stop, David Michael Snyder, 36, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury, Failure to Use Headlamps When Required, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, and Open Container as a Driver 21 Years of Age or Older.
