MASON CITY – A Scooter’s Coffee shop is coming to a busy Mason City road.
The vacant former home of Wells Fargo bank at 1315 4th Street SW is about to be renovated and turned into a Scotter’s Coffee shop, according to documents from City Hall in Mason City. No timetable for the project was announced. White Coat Acquisitions, LLC, bought the vacant building in 2020 for $450,000. It is located on a busy stretch of road through town, near Mercy Hospital main campus.
Scooter’s first opened in 1998 in Bellevue, Nebraska, offering hot and cold drinks of many varieties, pastries and sandwiches. They claim their “keys to success” are to “find a great location and stay committed to high-quality drinks, speed of service, and a BIG smile.”
