RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – An Albert Lea woman had a bad Sunday after losing control of her Pontiac Grand Prix and crashing into a fence outside Clear Lake.

On October 6, 2024, at 4:50 PM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office responded to Jonquil Avenue and 275th Street near the Mason City airport for a single vehicle collision. The driver, 35-year-old Jenessa Edwards of Albert Lea, Minnesota, was traveling south on Jonquil Avenue when she lost control of the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. The vehicle entered the east ditch and struck a fence. Edwards was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Edwards was cited for fail to maintain control of a motor vehicle and fail to have financial liability.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clear Lake Fire Department and Clear Lake Ambulance.
