Jack Voss, 71, of Charles City, formerly of Clemons, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Jack Voss, 71, of Charles City, formerly of Clemons, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at The Bridge Church in Charles City with Pastor Rob Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at The Bridge Church.

Jack Dale Voss, the son of William and Joyce (Jackson) Voss, was born on September 20, 1951, in Moline, Illinois. Jack graduated from Eddyville High School in 1969 and then received his associate degree from Indian Hills Community College. Jack married the love of his life, Camilla “Cammie” Shaw, on May 1, 1971, in Boone. The couple raised their family in Clemons for 40 plus years before moving to Charles City in 2021.

Jack had a multitude of agriculture jobs, including being the owner and operator of Voss Trucking and was a farm manager for Dunn Farms. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Jack enjoyed listening to music on his record player, reading, watching Westerns on TV, attending tractor pulls, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Jack was a very kind and respectful man and made friends wherever he went. He loved his family and would do anything for them. Jack will be deeply missed by all those who know him.

Living family members include his loving wife, Cammie; children: Tony (Ann) Voss of Hudson, Heather Voss (John Lebeck) of Charles City, Jake (Jessica) Voss of Osceola, Eric (Tressa) Voss of Charles City, and Josh (Stacy) Voss of Ohio; grandchildren: Nathan, Megan, Danielle, Riley, Jimmy, Brayden, Jack, Cayden, Nolan, Alexis, Charlotte, Eliott, Jasmine, Austin, and Dalton; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Terri) Voss of Eddyville; and sister, Betty (Steve) Allgood of Eddyville; along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Voss, and nephew, Chris Allgood.
