BURLINGTON – An Iowa felon was arrested for firing gunshots into the air.
Police in Burlington response to a neighborhood for a report of shots being fired. Witnesses identified to police a suspect in the area. Follow-up investigation revealed 45-year-old Jason Rohlfes as the suspect. Rohlfes was seen firing shots into the air, police say. No one was hit and no property was damaged. The firearm has been recovered.
Rohlfes was placed under arrest and is being held on $4,500 bond in jail, charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, person ineligible to carry a weapon, harassment 1st and discharging a firearm within the city.
