Top Trump official celebrates 450 miles of border wall built during administration

An illegal border crossing attempt between Mexico and the U.S.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Acting Secretary Chad Wolf announced the completion of 450 miles of new border wall during the Trump administration.

“President Trump took office with the promise to build the wall and secure our southern border – a promise he has kept,” Wolf said in a statement this week. “From the start, the President listened to operators on the ground and has pushed for funding for physical infrastructure, access roads, lights, cameras and sensors – a full package to secure our border. Today, we are celebrating the 450th mile of new border wall system built under this Administration.

“When our critics said it couldn’t be done – we prevailed. When our critics threw up every roadblock – we prevailed. The men and women of DHS, CBP, and USACE deserve the thanks and gratitude of a grateful nation. Their tireless work has undoubtedly made America safer and more secure.”

Reportedly, work is feverishly continuing on more border wall construction. However, incoming President Joe Biden has indicated he will cease border wall construction.
