CHARLES CITY – A meth lab was found on a golf course in Charles City this past weekend.

On April 19, 2019, officers with the Charles City police department responded to a suspicious backpack in the Wildwood Golf Course. Upon the officers’ arrival, it was found to be a methamphetamine lab. The Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement was called in to assist with the disposal of the materials. The Floyd county sheriff’s office played a large role in the investigation, according to Charles City police.

A suspect has been identified and the incident remains under investigation, police say.
