Man arrested after infant hurt in Charles City

CHARLES CITY – An Iowa man is behind bars after an incident in which an infant suffered injuries.

Reportedly, 18-year-old Nathan Jacobson of Boone, Iowa was in Charles City this fall caring for an infant just 2-months of age when the child suffered head injuries that may have been intentionally inflicted. As a result of the incident and an investigation, Jacobson was charged by Charles City police with felony child endangerment causing serious injury for the alleged October 17 crime.

Jacobson remains in the Floyd county jail at this time awaiting a bond review hearing set for January 3, 2017. He will be arraigned later that same morning.

Who in their right mind would leave an 18 year old in charge of a 2 month old baby.

Unfortunately, people hire children as young as 10 to watch infants these days. But, I’m sure this is different. Probably another unfortunate case of teen pregnancy and violent baby daddy. Way too many babies are being killed or permanently brain or physically damaged by these low life drug taking young people .. What a travesty !!
