CHARLES CITY – Police stopped a potentially dangerous drunk driver on the wrong side of a Charles City street.
The incident took place early on the morning of October 1. At about 2:09 AM, a Charles City police officer stopped a vehicle in the 1400 block of Gilbert Street that was traveling on the wrong side of the road. As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, 20-year-old Dylan Isakson of Colwell, Iowa was placed under arrest for first-offense operating while intoxicated and driving on the wrong side of a two-way street.
Isakson was jailed and soon released. He now awaits an October 21 preliminary hearing.
