Charles City man caught drunk driving after numerous traffic stops this year

CHARLES CITY РA Charles City man has been caught allegedly drunk driving after at least 4 previous traffic stops in Iowa this year.

The latest traffic incident for 27-year-old Jake Williams came on the afternoon of October 8. At 4:34 PM that day, a Charles City police officer stopped him at the 400 block of South Jackson Street. After an investigation, Williams was found to have no driver’s license and allegedly, was under the influence. He was taken to jail and later released pending a court appearance this month, with other possible charges pending.

On September 30, Williams was stopped for speeding in Floyd county. He was later guilty and ordered to pay $181.50 in fines and court fees. He was also found to have no valid driver’s license and ordered to pay $330.00 in fines and court fees.

On September 9, Williams was stopped for no valid driver’s license, again in Floyd county. He was ordered to pay $330.00 in fines and court fees.

On July 25, Williams was stopped for no valid driver’s license, this time in Cerro Gordo county. He was ordered to pay $330.00 in fines and court fees. Also, due to no seat belt, Williams was ordered to pay $135.00 in fines and court fees.

On June 19, Williams was stopped in Johnson county and found to have no valid driver’s license. He was ordered to pay $360.00 in fines and court fees.
