MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been arrested for a fourth time in connection to a domestic assault case, and faces the possibility of another week in jail.
Jared Robert Grouette, age 27, was arrested by Mason City police back on May 8 as police investigated a domestic incident at a North End residence. He was charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury and interference with official acts. A judge imposed a no-contact order and Grouette was released from jail.
Then, on May 20 just before 1 AM, Mason City police observed a no-contact order violation at Grouette’s home at 908 North Adams. He was arrested and taken to jail on the no-contact order violation. Grouette was then sentenced to 7 days in jail as a result of the no-contact order violation.
Grouette allegedly violated the no-contact order on May 31, and was arrested and charged, but that violation was dismissed.
In his latest brush with the law, Mason City police say Grouette violated he no-contact order again on August 10. A warrant for his arrest was issued by a judge the next day, and then officers located him just before noon on Friday, August 12 at Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, 1907 4th Street SW. He was taken to jail and held on no bond.
