CHARLES CITY – A man wanted on charges in Mason City was spotted by police as he fled on his bike, eventually hiding under a bridge before he was caught.

The incident took place Sunday afternoon in Charles City, when a police officer spotted 22-year-old Charles Jerry Foster riding his bike in the 100 block of North Main Street. He allegedly committed a littering offense when the officer spotted him. Foster fled the scene with the officer in pursuit, eventually abandoning his bike. Later, police found him hiding under the Brantingham bridge in the brush.

As a result of the incident, Foster was charged with interference with official acts and littering. He was taken to the Floyd county jail and soon transported to Mason City on an arrest warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On August 2, Foster pleaded guilty to that charge and was ordered to pay $569.88 in fines and court fees.

  1. Personally I would have went for the Clark St. bridge, it has a better beach. Besides, I didn’t think that we had trolls living around here.

  2. under our demorat corrupt government i’m surprised they found him in among the homeless people living there.
