MASON CITY – A wanted man was spotted at a North End discount store and taken to jail.
On Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 4:29 PM, Matthew Boese was spotted by a Mason City police officer at Family Dollar, 1510 North Federal Avenue. Boese had valid arrest warrants, police say.
The officer made contact with Boese and suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a possible stolen candy bar was located on him.
A felony drug possession charge was enhanced due to multiple prior drug convictions. Boese was charged with fifth-degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia in addition to the arrest warrants. He remains jailed at this time.
